Never be Afraid of Damaged Hair Again
When you have hair that has been colored, it may seem impossible to go any lighter or to not be wary of bleach. Our model, Chrissy, is very low maintenance and prefers just a quick brush through or ponytail. She had experimented on her hair color with friends in the past and so was concerned about more damage to her hair, leaving it lifeless and dull. Hiro, Sin Den’s salon manager who specializes in hair textures, knew that the solution would be a luxurious Wellaplex treatment with half head of highlights.
Wellaplex with Highlights to Protect & Strengthen Your Hair!
Wellaplex is a formula designed by Wella Professionals to strengthen your hair as you bleach and color it. It provides protection from chemicals and heat and eliminates damage, leaving you with shiny hair that feels amazing. The half head of highlight skill demonstrated is much less intense than most other coloring treatments, allowing you to enjoy highlights regularly.
In this example, Hiro uses a weaving technique throughout the top half of Chrissy’s head. The goal is to blend in the dark roots with her previously processed hair without having to apply bleach to her full head as a full set of highlights would require. Hiro also lightens up the lower hairline so that when Chrissy wears a ponytail, the lower half that’s seen mimics a full head treatment. This technique and the Wellaplex application allows anyone to enjoy a consistent set of highlights. Applied first during this process, Wellaplex affords protection and revitalizes those areas exposed to bleach, leaving Chrissy with beautiful and flawless hair.
Goodbye Dark Roots, Hello New Pink Blonde!
After highlights, weaving and a wash out followed. In step two, Wella’s deep intense hair treatment was applied to minimize her hair damage. Hiro then carefully selected the best match of hair toner for Chrissy to subdue a hint of purple hair color that was found after bleaching.
As Hiro was unsure of Chrissy’s hair color history, the results were not entirely predictable, but it never changed the unwavering confidence that he gained from his invaluable experience overseas. A warm ash brown and cool pink were then applied to eliminate any color difference between the newly bleached part and the previously processed hair.
After the color was set, a relaxing head massage was followed by a final Wellaplex hair treatment applied to seal in protection, nutrients and the new color.
An Ultimate Blowout Technique
The Final step of this process complete with a blowout. What makes a Sin Den blowout special is that a Wella Top Artist comes into the salon every year to update on each of the stylists the latest techniques. Sin Den salon has many requests for traditional blow-dry technique from international customers and always use a round brush for the blowout. Besides, Hiro specializes in foreign hair textures, so you know your hair is safe under the blow dryer with him. The sleek volume of a blow out gives Chrissy a beautiful face-framing effect and completes the look.
If you have damaged hair but wish your hair to be fresh and flawless, consider trying half head highlights and a Wellaplex treatment. As having a full head of highlights every time will result in damage to your hair, choosing a half highlight Wellaplex treatment that targets the visible areas of your hair in need of repair, you will achieve the flawless look you desire while repairing your damaged hair. This treatment will let you regularly enjoy the highlights you love without any of the complications.
